This glorious pair of Indian lions date to the early 19th century. They originally would have stood on either side of an an entrance to a haveli in The Rann of Kutch. Their faces are delicately carved with remnants of layers of paint applied over many generations. 

Full of character and still retaining traces of old paint, this pair of carved stone lions would look equally good on either side of a doorway or in the garden. They're a rare thing to find now!
