This old Indian lassi cup is from North India is made from nickel plated brass. Each one has its own hand etched Mughal design.Ā  They date back to the early 20thĀ century, circa 1920.Ā 

They make the ideal pencil pot or desk tidy, but also work as a decorative piece.Ā 

Lassi is a delicious Indian & Pakistani drink made from yogurt. It can be drunk both sweetĀ (meethiĀ lassi)Ā and salty (namkeen lassi) and is most often flavoured with mango or herbs and spices like fennel. Occasionally lassi is laced withĀ bhangĀ (hashish) - especially at the Spring Holi festival time.
