This beautiful single plank coffee table is something rarely found now. consisting of 87cm of elm heartwood - it has an entrancing and figural grain. This would have come from a tree over 1.5 meters wide, elm trees rarely grow to this size. Made in Northern Chinese elm (yumu) it is from Gansu province in Northern China.
Dating to the 19th century, this table has been lightly waxed.Ā
