
Carved Teak Opium Container From Rajasthan - Ca 1910
This style of pot was used for tobacco and opium. These pots were well cared for and in constant use. This piece dates to theĀ early 20th century and has been beautifully constructed using brass and teakwood which has developed a great patina with age. The opening has been lined with brass and would have had a lid which has long since been lost.Ā
