Small Celadon Flower Vase - Trumpet Mouth Design
The origins of Celadon began at the end of the Han Dynasty (206 BC €“ 220AD) but it wasn€™t until the Jin Dynasty (265 €“ 420) that the creation of celadon excelled as an art form.
Celadon was favoured by nobles and the wealthy classes due to a myth that it would break if poisoned food or liquid was put inside. It also resembles the colour of jade, which has been considered a sacred stone in China since pre-history.
