This wonderful pair of Chinese export reverse glass paintings of Chinese courtesans are framed in modern gilt frames. Beautifully painted and produced in Canton in the late 18th century. These paintings were skillfully painted on the reverse side of the glass. These are incredibly fragile remnants of the past.Ā
