This old Indian lassi cup is from North India and is made from nickel plated brass. Each one has its own hand etched designs. It dates to the early 20thĀ century, circa 1920.Ā 


Lassi is a delicious Indian & Pakistani drink made from yogurt. It can be drunk both sweetĀ (meethiĀ lassi)Ā and salty (namkeen lassi) and is most often flavoured with mango or herbs and spices like fennel. Occasionally lassi is laced withĀ bhangĀ (hashish) - especially at the Spring Holi festival time.


This very pretty cup has a classical Mughal design.
