These beautifully carved 18th century painted teak doors have been salvaged from an old building in Gujarat.Ā This is an excellent and high quality example of Gujarati craftsmanship in the 18th century and really illustrates the wealth and craftsmanship which was found in India during this era.Ā

These doors would have originally been used as the front door of a wealthy merchant's home.Ā They are saved from buildings in India that have fallen into a state of disrepair and are no longer in a repairable state.
