This beautifully carved mirror is made from an old Indian window frame from the area of Shekhawati in northern Rajasthan. Shekhawati is famed for its beautiful architecture and decorative carvingsĀ framed by lacquer beating. The mihrabs in Shekhawati have their own distinct style however you can see the influence of the Mughal style. Shekhawati architecture is often constructed using roheda wood.Ā
